The Collaborative Group was established to maximize contracting opportunities for participation by minority-owned businesses, along with workforce development promotion for Baltimore City Schools’ students and City residents.
The Mayor’s Office of Employment Development (MOED) has developed and administered a comprehensive local hiring plan to support the goals of the Collaborative and will report to the Executive Committee on these subjects. MOED will utilize the resources of its One Stop Career Center Network and work collaboratively with a broad range of City, workforce, faith-based, and community organizations to assist in the training and preparation of City residents for employment opportunities created by the 21st Century School Buildings Program.
Workforce Development is chaired by Jason Perkins-Cohen, Director - Mayor's Office of Employment Development
